Mikkeli Amateur Theatre Festival (each year in January)
Established in 1976, the Mikkeli Amateur Theatre Festival is a high-standard and open national amateur theatre festival that is organized on an annual basis. Each year 10-15 Finnish and 1-3 foreign groups are selected to participate in the festival. The performances are selected by a random jury each year.

KUULAS – International Children’s Theatre Festival (each year in May)
The year 2007 marked the 20 anniversary of the International Children’s Theatre Festival organised by the Association of Amateur and Professional Theatres in Finland (TNL) together with the City of Kouvola and Kuusankoski Theatre.
This annual festival hosts performances by 3-5 foreign theatre groups and approx. 15 Finnish amateur and professional theatre groups. The festival also includes, among other events, workshops for children and adults, as well as a seminar on topical issues related to children’s culture.

MURROS – Theatre Festival for Young People (each year in November)
The aim of this new festival is to create a high-standard national and international youth theatre festival that is open to everyone interested. The event will primarily showcase performances by young people aged 13-20. The objective is to provide the audience with interesting and high-quality performances, to give young theatre writers and performers the opportunity to present their skills, to arrange tailored training, and to promote international exchange through performance, director and instructor exchanges.

Amateur Dramatics Festival in Seinäjoki
This festival is an important meeting place for active and inquisitive amateur theatre enthusiasts. The groups get the opportunity to bring their performances into a new arena, gain influences and ideas from other performances, and create new contacts with other enthusiasts. This annual event hosts 10-11 groups from all parts of the country.

Tampere Theatre Festival
The oldest Nordic professional theatre festival takes you on a journey to all parts of the world and corners of the homecountry.
It offers the audience illusions and experiences; classics, novel drama, premier performances, street theatre, performance theatre and dance. A free festival bus carries guests from one venue to the next.

Student Theatre Festival
The Student Theatre Union SYTY organises the annual Student Theatre Festival, which features performances from approximately ten student theatre groups from all over Finland.
